The Ilkley Incline, Uphill Race
The Ilkley Incline is an uphill-only race, inaugurated in 2002. The generous prize list includes giant marrows for the winners, and this friendly race attracts fell runners and road runners alike. In 2009 we had a record field, with 73 finishers.

- FRA CS (Category C, Short) fell race - 1 mile, 560' climb, uphill only
- Start at foot of Keighley Road at junction with Wells Road, GR SE 114469

- Start at 7pm, registration from 6pm at Start
- £1.50 entry on the day only
- Team competitions - men 4 runners, ladies 3 runners
- Age 15+
- Prizegiving immediately after race. LOTS of prizes, for categories M/F U18-V70

- The Incline race is normally preceded at 6pm by the Junior Sprint Fell relays, but the way dates fall in 2010 it is better if the Junior Sprint Fell relays are staged the following week - more on the Junior pages
