Ilkley Harriers enjoy a programme of regular social activities throughout the year.
On Tuesdays a good number meet for a drink and chat in the Tennis Club bar after the run (about 8.30pm, food is available to Harriers). There are informal "curry runs" and the like, and quite often a celebratory evening drink after a major relay or event.
In summer we have "away runs" that finish at a pub most often, and we brighten up the winter evenings with Richard's famous Handicap and Predictor Runs, and other fun events.
More details in the club newsletter, on the club noticeboard, or as announced on Tuesday evenings.
Pete is arranging some special guest speakers for apres-run on a Tuesday night, watch this space ...
From Bob H ...Another date for the Calendar is the Danefield Relay on 7.15pm on Wed evening, July 2nd on the Chevin. This is a wonderful relay event (3 to a team) and it would good to have a wide range of teams out. The Cheerful Chilli is being booked for a post race meal. It will be £15 a head for three courses and basically as much food as you can devour. I've never eaten there but everybody says it's fantastic. They can accomodate a max of 28, so please let me know if you want to book in for that treat. Other clubs are being invited too, so places might be in short supply!!
