Welcome from Ilkley Harriers

Ilkley Harriers is proud to be organising this event on behalf of YVAA, again, after the very succesful 2009 event. We hope to make it a great day out for all the runners. The course is testing, the scenery is terrific, the setting at Ilkley Lido is superb, and the welcome will be very warm.

Venue

The race is centred around the famous Ilkley Lido, (see www.ilkleylido.co.uk), and changeovers will take place within the grounds.

Parking may be a little restricted at The Lido on the day so please share cars where possible, and park on the streets nearby.

Route

The route is 2.9 miles in length - 1 mile flat, 1 mile climb then a fast descent to the change-over. The route runs anticlockwise so all turns are left hand turns.

Entry

Entries must be made on the form published on the YVAA web site yvaa.org

NB Entries arriving after the cut-off date of 15th October cannot be accepted.

Update 17th October: we have some 70 teams entered (54 teams finished in 2010, previous known record 62 teams in 2005).

Registration

Team members' names will be registered on the day at Registration in the Lido grounds by each team leader. We plan to open Registration in the Cafe/Pavillion at 9.30am. Please allow plenty of time to register. You will need to bring sufficient safety pins for your race number (a new number - not your YVAA Grand Prix number) and for the YVAA age category number.

NB Age category numbers must be worn on the backs of runners. Not to do so would risk being dropped down the finish order or even disqualification by the race referee.

Teams and race distances

Prizes

Fastest individual lap in each of the above team categories.
And, this year, first team in each category and second team in M40, M50 and F35.

Refreshments

There will be refreshments served from the Cafe/Pavillion at Ilkley Lido, by Ilkley Harriers.
