This is a report from Rachel Websdale on the XC event that 77 of our
Wharfedale league runners took part in last night. Well done to everyone
- you're all superstars.
From Rachel...... A super afternoon of cross country racing at the Bradford
Schools inter league race where the top runners from our Wharfedale
xc schools league competed against the top runners from the Keighley
and North Bradford leagues.
Just over 270 children enjoyed a fab course around the grounds of Cliffe
Castle on one of the rare dry days of the season !
Congratulations to Alicia Brett , Sophie Charlton , Seb Livesley , Max
Brett , Olivia Stones who were all placed in the top 3 . And well done
to Ashlands , All Saints , Burley Oaks and Ghyll Royd who all fielded
top 3 teams .

GENERAL PROGRAMME: Open to everyone - all abilities & newcomers (Year 3+)
Please contact Shirley if you are interested in any of these sessions and she will put you in contact with the appropriate lead coach who will put your child on their waiting list.
Monday: Outdoor Athletics, Ghyll Royd field, Years 4-7, 5.45 to 7pm. .
Wednesday: Endurance Running, IGS field, Years 3-11. 5.30 - 6.15.
Thursday: Outdoor Athletics, Ghyll Royd field, Years 3-7, 6pm to 7.15.
SPECIFIC PROGRAMME: For juniors who compete for Ilkley ONLY (Years 7 to 13).
We expect a high level of commitment, motivation, self discipline and behaviour and the maturity to work hard in smaller coaching groups with specific coaches. All juniors must want to continue with athletics and to train to compete. Your commitment to us is to compete for the junior Harriers. Contact Shirley if you are interested in doing any of these sessions.
Monday: Fell Running Training, Ilkley Moor, 6pm - 7pm.
Monday: Sprinting, Ghyll Royd field, 7pm to 8pm, Year 8 and older.
Wednesday: Speed endurance Training, IGS field, 6.30 - 7.30.
Thursday: Sally Malir’s 'by invitation only' small mentored group of Year 9+ (sessions organised with individuals). If interested speak to Kate Lofthouse.
